House rules
Last updated 19 August 2026
Seven minutes with a stranger only works if everyone's here for the same reason. These are the rules. They're short on purpose.
Who belongs here
- Founders and co-founders — any stage, from 'idea in a notebook' to 'scaling'.
- People seriously about to start something and looking for a co-founder.
- Operators open to joining something early (technical, product, design, growth).
Who doesn't
- Agencies and freelancers pitching services. If your plan is "I can build that for you", this isn't the place.
- Recruiters.
- Investors sourcing deals, unless you're also building.
- "I have an idea, you build it for equity" with nothing else on the table.
- Anyone not using their real identity.
During the call
- Camera on, real name showing. That's the deal.
- Lead with what you're building and what you need. The icebreaker is there if you stall.
- It's 7 minutes. You don't have to like each other. You do have to be decent.
- No recording. No screenshots of the other person without asking.
- Nothing sexual, nothing hateful, nothing illegal. Zero tolerance.
After the call
- Answer honestly: keep in touch or not. They'll never see a 'no'.
- If they got contacts from you through a mutual yes, that's for a conversation — not a mailing list.
- If someone broke these rules, report them. Add them to your block list if you want. Two reports from different people and they're out.
What we do
We read every report. We remove people who break the rules — usually after two reports, immediately for anything serious. We keep your contact details private until you both say yes. We don't record calls.
That's it. Go talk to someone who's building something.
